On one hand, you understand that you’re supposed to be proud of who you are and what you’re doing. Technically, there’s a lot to be proud of.
But, the pieces don’t totally line up in your head.
You want to make sense of your own identity and you’re not exactly sure where to start. You’re tired of feeling like you don’t belong. All of this is affecting your self-esteem and sense of self-worth. It’s getting hard to connect with others around you.
You feel fragmented.
You’re getting really critical of yourself and acting out in ways that aren’t great, maybe even dangerous.
Perhaps you’re finding yourself in the same cycle around relationships that don’t exactly fit. Or, maybe they do fit in your life, but you don’t know how to exactly strengthen and deepen them.
That voice in your head is just so critical and harsh.
You have the feeling that your past experiences are impacting your present moment. These experiences continue to follow you around and it’s getting in the way of living.

At my Minneapolis, MN-based therapy practice, I work with folks who are just starting to understand themselves. I help adults learn what it means to be themselves and make more sense of and explore their past. Further, I work with folks who feel fragmented and want to feel like one whole person.
As your therapist, I’ll make sure to hold space and heart-felt care every step of the way. This may feel challenging at times. But the rewards will be well worth it. I promise!
In therapy sessions, I provide a safe environment for exploring the parts of yourself that are uncomfortable to sit with— the parts of yourself you’ve tried to avoid and push down. You might even grow a deeper appreciation for the parts of you that used to be frustrating.
Together, we will work on ways to tolerate distress and regulate emotions. With this assistance, those old memories won’t be as disturbing to you. You’ll have a better understanding of past memories and present-day experiences. They won’t blend together as much.
you’ll learn ways to understand your body better
Somatic or body-based therapy will help you to become even more attuned to what you want and need at the moment.
You’ll explore ways to establish and deepen meaningful relationships in your life. Boundaries may even become your friend! You will better understand crafting, asserting, and maintaining boundaries with those around you. You’ll learn how to create a better blueprint for the kinds of relationships that you seek.
In sessions, we may also unpack and celebrate the juicy facets of your life! I welcome any and all conversations driven by sexual pleasure and desire. When you work with me, no conversation about sex is off the table.
All of this may sound too good to be true. But I promise it’s reasonable and achievable.
