celebrate you

LGBTQIA+ IDENTITY DEVELOPMENT & INTEGRATION

Meghan Emma Wilson, LICSW, CST, MSW

I work with thoughtful and creative LGBTQIA+ folks to help them more fully embrace and embody their true identities.

My clients first come into the office struggling to feel at home in their bodies. They may feel like their communities and the world have an idea of how they should look, should act, should be. They’re tired of playing a version of themselves that doesn’t feel quite right. They need some guidance and aren’t sure where to start.

Maybe you can relate—

Maybe you have a sense of what life could be like if you were truly expressing yourself, genuinely, without fear or shame.

Maybe you haven’t even let yourself dream about what that could look like—just yet.

Maybe there are obstacles in the way and you don’t know how to navigate through them.

This is where I can be of help. Let’s work together and cultivate a life that truly celebrates you!

Much of the work I do with clients centers on exploring oneself with genuine curiosity to make empowered changes.

We unpack and demystify the barriers that keep you from being the best version of yourself.

We process fears that you may have around acceptance.

We navigate through identity development, struggle, transformation, and integration.

Social Identity Exploration

You deserve to better understand yourself. I believe that you will feel better and having more supportive and loving relationships when you have a better grasp of who you are. Social identity exploration is important in our wellness journey.

Trauma Therapy

Working through past painful memories will allow for you to more fully show up in your present day. Trauma work allows folks to better understand themselves and the stories they hold.

My name is Meghan and I’m a mixed-race, queer, certified sex therapist (they/them) who is currently based in Minneapolis, MN on occupied Dakota and Anishinaabe ancestral lands. I understand, intimately, that social identity can be complex and difficult to navigate. My work primarily focuses on gender and sexuality identity development and integration. My work is intersectional, trauma-informed, anti-racist and LGBTQIA+ affirming.

I have spent the past nine years dedicated to the study of mental health, trauma, and the resiliency of individuals. I enjoy working with clients of all identities and have extensive experience working with folks from historically marginalized backgrounds and across the gender spectrum. I work with people ages 15 and older.
